Meringue Dress

Sold – $124

Estimated size – Small
Maker – H.B. Burnett New York
Era – 1950s
Fabric Content – Blend of taffeta, sheer woven nylon, and acetate
Care – Dry Clean
Closure – Side Metal zipper. Straps attach with hook and eyes
Condition – Being sold in As Is condition. With a bit of work this would make a stunning wedding dress – or would be perfect for wedding photo styling.
The ribboned part of the dress is in strong, clean, practically perfect condition however, the previous owner attached the hook and eyes on the straps with orange thread, which has bled over time. I would suggest moving the hooks up a bit and re-attaching with white thread.
The sheer, chiffon like layer has slits and holes and is longer in some places then others. This layer could be replaced by a wedding dress maker.
